Divided We Fall

Divided we fall
on the swords of contempt
Seeing no further
than the kernel of truth
and the vision of God
we now understand
The loathing rises
It's easy to point fingers
easier still to despair
in the face of evil
so clearly seen
But perhaps the trouble
lies within
What we see and what we know
is never complete
never enough
Never full of so much
divine wisdom and grace
that we can see beyond the fault
to the kernel of truth
and vision of God
we might understand
Divided we fall
on the swords of contempt
but it's not too late
for love
