Balancing Earth & Sky

 In previous Pathways, I've talked about being aware of your energy, feeding your
energy, determining who and what raise your energy, and the power of higher
energy. Today we'll focus on balancing your energy between "grounding" and
"reaching."
I have a wonderful coaching friend, Elaine LaJoie
Click, who has coached me on my energy levels. We recently shared a
conversation about the importance of building a balance between feeling grounded
and secure, and stretching oneself toward a bigger and fuller life. Elaine
assisted me to see that I've done a great job of grounding myself in the last few years, and now
I'm ready to soar.
Much of "sky" energy is about opening yourself to possibility. Our internal
messages and the ongoing effects of our socialization processes can have a
tremendous impact on our beliefs as children and adults. And we get so used to
those ways of thinking and being that we may not realize the toll that negative
and constricted thought may cause us.
So, in that spirit of things, we can do ourselves great service by lifting our
thinking to new heights. By trusting in true possibility and allowing ourselves
to fathom bigger dreams we in fact create that possibility in our lives. My brother-in-law likes to say, "you have to believe to receive." How right
he is!
